On the Look-Out for Rabid Dog

Local health officials need your help in locating a rabid dog. The Joplin Health Department is requesting assistance from citizens in locating a dog that bit an individual in the area of 26th and Virginia back on Sunday August 26th at about 2 p.m. The dog is described as a black and white malamute. In order to provide for an adequate rabies quarantine of this dog, please contact the Joplin Health Department at 417-623-6122 if you have knowledge as to the whereabouts of the animal.
