Updated: January 7, 2009
An annonymous donor gives $20,000 to help Neosho parks. With the money, the development firm Shafer,Line and Warren Inc. has been hired to develop a park plan for the city. The firm will assess the cities park land and develop plans for Morese park and Big Spring Park. A layout will be developed along with costs and recommendations of future plans. "It`s very rewarding.I`ve been working on this for ten years and we`re getting close to the end and its getting close to reality here. I think the park master plan will be the icing on the cake,we want to do it professionally and we want something everybody in the area can be proud of,"said Jim Cole. After the plan is complete from the firm, the city then plans on seeking a half a million dollar matching grant to implement the program. Reported By:Brad Douglas
