Fire Follow-Up

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Area workers begin to pick up the pieces after a massive fire destroys part of an area business. Firefighters say yesterday`s blaze out at the Able Body Manufacturing Plant in Joplin may be one of the largest they can remember fighting. Although it took firefighters over two-and-a-half hours to bring the blaze under control, damage was kept to a minimum. Officials at Able Body say the facility where the fire took place only accounts for about ten percent of their sales. They plan to be back at full production capacity with in the week. The Carl Junction Fire Department says they`ve determined the source of the fire to be a pump failure. But due to the structural damage officers aren`t sure at this time exactly how it failed.
