Students may have had a day off from school today, but school leaders were there to talk about education. Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt met with school leaders about the individuals with disabilities education act. According to the school officials the amount of paperwork involved in educating handicapped students is affecting their educations. That`s because some teachers are choosing to go into regular education and not special ed based on all the federal mandates. "I think this is something we need to headway in. We made headway in funding over the last six years, but we could make a lot more headway in funing, it we do something that reduces the cost by reducing the overwealming paperwork on local districts. We need to be doing that,"said Congressman Roy Blunt. If you would like to voice your opinion to Congressman Blunt, you can log onto his website at www.house.gov/blunt Reported By: Brad Douglas
