Commerce Mayor Resigns

Commerce Mayor Vernon Allen has resigned amid allegations of sexual harassment. The Commerce City Council accepted Mayor Allen`s resignation on Thursday. City officials say a complaint was filed by city office Manager Vicki Crawford against the Mayor. The complaint alleges verbal assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and sexual harassment. A claim notice has also been sent by Crawford`s attorney to the city asking for 125-thousand dollars in damages. Reported By: Jennifer Haile
