One of four US soldiers killed in a black hawk helicopter crash in Afghanistan is a Neosho native.
The victim was the helicopter crew chief, Sergeant Daniel Kisling Junior of Neosho. The crash occurred during a training mission yesterday. Sergeant Kisling was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where his wife and three children reportedly received the news today. Sergeant Kisling had been in the US Army for eight years. At the time of the fatal crash he was assigned to the 101st airborne division. Daniel Kisling is survived by his parents Daniel and Velinda Kisling of Neosho. He also has one sister, Lisa. Kisling had been married to his wife Georgie for 14 years. They have three children and are expecting a fourth later this year.
