Almost seventeen years to the week of the Space Shuttle Challenger`s explosion, another tragedy is rocking the nation. The Space Shuttle Columbia, on its 28th and final mission into space, experienced problems upon re-entry into Earth`s atmosphere. Reports say all seven astornauts aboard, including Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon, died. Ramon was a Colonel in the Israeli Air Force, and the first Israeli to venture into space. The Commander of Columbia, Rick Husband, was a U.S. Air Force Colonel and former test pilot. The Associated Press is reporting that the U.S. government is forming an independent board of experts to investigate the cause of the accident. Officials say they do not fear terrorists were involved in the explosion. Stay tuned to KSN tonight at 10. We will bring you the latest information as it becomes available. Reported by: Ryan Loyd
