Kleypus Update

Updated: January 7, 2009
For the second time, a jury will try to decide the fate of a convicted killer. Wednesday, a Crawford County district Court Judge denied a request to throw out the death penalty for convicted killer Gary Kleypas. Kleypas was found guilty of the 1996 murder of Carrie Williams, a Pittsburg State University student. Kleypas received the death penalty for his actions. But that decision was overturned by the Kansas Supreme court last year, citing faults with a jury verdict form. Kleypas` next hearing is scheduled for April 7th. Reported By: Jennifer Haile
