Updated: January 7, 2009
Four state police say a shooting death was justifiable homicide. Newton County officials say at this time charges will not be filed against a four state man who shot another man last night. Authorities say Greg Henry was acting in self defense last night when he shot 21 year old Daniel Star of Noel, Missouri. The accident happened last night just before seven at a home on Gumm road about five miles south of Joplin. Officers say star had been repeatedly asked to leave the home by his ex-girlfriend`s father, Greg Henry who was armed with a gun. Authorities say Star forced his way into the home. That`s when the two men got into a struggle. Star was taken to an area hospital where he later died. Watson says that as long as the inforation doesn`t change the incident will be ruled as self defense. No charges will be filed against Henry. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
