A four state woman charged with the stabbing death of her husband is ordered to pay hundreds of dollars in fines. Patty Harkins of rural Fairland, Oklahoma appeared in Ottawa County district court today. Harkins is on probation for the December 1999 stabbing death of her husband, Ottawa county sheriff Jack Harkins. During her 15 weekend sentence behind bars, Harkins was originally ordered to pay 20 dollars a day to be housed at the Mayes county jail. Despite Harkins` efforts to pay the housing fine, the money was never delievered because of a discrepency over whether Ottawa or Mayes county would receive the money. The court is now trying to determine which county will get the funds. Harkins now has one week to pay six hundred dollars. An Ottawa County Judge says Harkins will remain on probation.
