Assistance for Military Families

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
As local troops are called to serve in the military area parents are left dealing with an increased burden of being the sole caregiver. That`s why local United Way partner agencies are offering resources for families during the separation. The Red Cross is offering communication which allows families to get in touch with each other instantly in the event of an emergency. Several agencies also offer counseling and support to help the families deal with this difficult time. "With the development, especially if it`s six months or longer. Then these families will have an impact. Their lives will change and we wanted to communicate and there are services here provided by the united way agencies that they can call upon in case of need,"said Suzanne Gilpin, United Way Executive Director. To learn more about how local united way partner agencies are helping our soldiers call (417)624-03-56. Reported By:Brad Douglas
