Lending a Helping Hand

Local soldiers need your assistance as they are deployed for war.
Lt. Colonel Don Koonce from the National Guard was at the Joplin Chamber of Commerce today. He is asking for the community to help the families of soldiers while they are overseas.
With one parent gone in a family, child care and donations are always needed.
"What we`re trying to do is to make sure our families pain of our being gone is minimized in it`s duration and it`s magnitude by the way the community steps up and helps our families,"said Lt. Colonel Don Koonce, U.S. Army National Guard. If you would like to donate to the families they can be sent to the great southern bank at 1710 East 32nd street in Joplin.
