Kids and War

Updated: January 7, 2009
With the 24 hour television coverage, it`s hard to miss the frightening images of the war. That`s why it`s important to talk to your children about what`s happening in Iraq. Experts recomend talking to your kids about the images they will see. Children at the Kids Korner daycare in Joplin have been asking questions about the war. A child`s age depends on how much they understand about violence. It`s also important not to force your children to talk about the war if they aren`t ready. "The bombs are shooting off,and I just don`t want em to. Cause everyone um people are dying from them and stuff," said eight year old Jade Burlew. Child experts recommend if your children do watch the coverage, it`s important to watch it with them. And answer any questions that may arise. Reported By: Brad Douglas
