Head-On Collision Caused by Rain

A head on collision during rainy weather this afternoon sends several people to the hospital. The accident on North Schifferdecker near P Highway happened just after heavy rain began to fall this afternoon. Both cars suffered heavy damage and two people were trapped inside one of the vehicles. Fire officials were called out to pry the door open enabling medial personnel to treat the injured. Both were taken to an area hospital. No word tonight on the extent of their injuries.
