Pierce City Destruction

And the storm also turned deadly in Pierce City, Missouri. Three people are confirmed dead in the Lawrence County community, many others are still reported missing. Police say the entire downtown area has been wiped out. Several historic buildings dating back to the late 1870`s were completedly destroyed. Many of the people missing are believed to have sought sheltered in the Pierce city national guard armory. That building took a direct hit from the storm. Reported By:Jim Jackson
