Carl Junction School Decision

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
All four schools in Carl Juction were damaged in Sunday`s deadly storm. But what does the future hold for the students and faculty? School officials have already cancelled school for the rest of the week. But due to the extensive damage school officials aren`t sure if it`s safe for students to enter the building. Superintendent Dr. Larry Thomas toured the buildings this morning with the school`s area supervisor. They hope to get a better idea as to the exact amount of damage that has been done to determine if it`s possible to finish the school year. Some parents say its a tough decision to make. "I certainly wouldn`t want my kids going into an unsafe building but at least finish the high school year,"said John Hoffmann, a concerned parent. A final decision has not yet been made but school officials hope to make that determination in the next few days. Reported By:Courtney Cullor
