An electrical sub-station`s transformer was damaged during the storm which caused the extensive damage. In addition crews are also installing several hundred new electric poles. "There`s just a heck of a lot of damage, there`s just a lot. I think the rough estimate in Carl Junction done is 400 poles to set. All that takes time, we have a lot of crews they can only set so many poles,"said Larry Abshier, Empire Line Foreman. Representatives with Empire Electric say they hope to get the power back to Carl Junction within the next few days. In all over 30-thousand homes in the area were without electricity due to the tornadoes. Of those hoems, crews are still working to restore power to three-thousand families. Reported By:Brad Douglas
