Lawmakers are lobbying for big business in a virtual world. Local online business owners say the success of their companies depend on online shoppers to make purchases from the virtual showroom. But some state officials argue that online shoppers should be charged a sales tax,a big source of revenue that some officials say would help balance state budgets.

The current tax suspension on internet purchases expires in November.
The Bush administration is pushing for an extension, but no word yet on how long the administration will seek.
