A Kansas City man is facing numerous charges in connection to a car jacking in Webb City. Twenty year old Adam Benson has been charged with assault of a law enforcement officer, eluding police and robbery. Sheriff`s deputies say the incident happened Saturday night after Benson assaulted a woman and stole her car. The chase began after Carterville Police spotted the stolen vehicle on 1-71 East of Webb City. A Carthage officer placed spikes in the road to stop the vehicle. Reports indicate benson tried to miss the spikes and almost hit the officer. The chase continued on Highway-71 where a Carterville police officer forced the Benson`s car off the road.
