Preparing for Memorial Day Weekend

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
With the Memorial weekend upon us it`s important to make sure your travels continue to be fun. Mechanics say it`s important to check your car before you begin your trip. By doing some preventative maintenance on your car you can save yourself money. And travelers say they`d rather fix something in their driveway than on the side of the highway. One mechanic says before you leave town you need to check your fluids, hoses, belts and tires. Ivey`s Auto Service manager Jon Sullivan says, "One of the biggest problems that they have is that tire pressure on cars are low which helps them get good gas milage and insures them that they`ll have a safe passage to where they`re going." The pounds of pressure required for your tires should be visible on the actual tire. Reported by: Jennifer Grannan
