New License

It`s time to expect something different when you walk into your local DMV. When you enter the building you may notice a new speed and efficiency the DMV isn`t normally known for. And officials say a new driver`s license format is the reason. "One new added advantage to this license is that we`re able to process an individual almost twice as fast as we were able to do so before. So our wait time is almost cut in half,"said Chris Cagle, Joplin DMV. And while the wait time`s great there are other security features in the new license that that make it almost impossible to tamper with. Changes include a ghost image of your photo as well as a front laminate with ultra-violet ink. Local bar owners say the changes in the driver`s license makes their job a little easier. Officials say altercation of the license is impossible and creating your own just as difficult. The new licenses are slowly being phased into the system. Officials at the DMV say unless you need your license renewed or have lost your current license there is no need to get a new one. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
