In one four state community two city Aldermen resign just weeks after half the police department quits. Last night, during the city council meeting in Southwest City, both Aldermen Darrell Longdon and Edward Drake Junior relinquished their roles in the city government. Drake says he had no idea what he would be dealing with as an Alderman for the city and claims unfair treatment involving a conflict of interest charge. Longdon`s letter of resignation quotes his disguest with how the current city government has managed to tear down everything the last two councils have accomplished. In other newss, the council agreed to hire two part-time reserve officers for the police department to fill the schedule left open after Chief Chris Owens and Assistant Chief Derrick Keller quit.
