Sheriff`s Trip Update

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Payment for a prisoner extradition trip is put on hold. The State of Missouri wants an explanation as to why a Jasper County deputy rang up a 17 hundred dollar bill on a recent trip to Florida. The bill was submitted by Sheriff`s Captain Jeff Car and his wife who is a supervisor with the department. The two went to Florida to extradite a female inmate wanted on drug charges. According to reports the couple spent two nights at hotels in Panama City beach and two more in Tampa. The carrs were given a one thousand dollar cash advance for the trip. The sheriff`s department has been reimbursed from the county`s general fund for their expenses. The bill was then sent to the state office of administration for approval. Reported By: Jim Jackson
