Pittsburg Accident

An early morning accident is under investigation tonight while the occupants remain in critical condition. Just after 1:30 this morning, the Pittsburg, Kansas police department, along with fire and EMS crews, responded to a one vehicle accident in the 27-hundred block of North Rouse Street in Pittsburg. Police reports say a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse was travelig at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the car. The car veered off the road and rolled several times, ejecting two passengers: 18-year-old Justin Thompson and 21-year-old Erika Provence-Espino. Both were taken to Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, but later transferred to St. John`s in Joplin. The driver is in undetermined condition. Reported by: Ryan Loyd
