Murphey Avenue Flooding

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Flash floods happen in a hurry in the area. Heavy rains this morning prompted Joplin police to take quick action. Flood gates were set up at two local low water bridges. Bridges at Murphy Blvd. and on South Jackson are impassable during high water. Police officers say it doesn`t take much water to move your car. Both locations have been the sites of drownings after vehicles were swept away during high swift water. Reported By:Jim Jackson
