Chad Poor's Court Appearance

A trial date is reset for a Southeast Kansas man charged in connection with a fatal accident. Chad Poor of Chetopa, Kansas is now scheduled to appear in court on September 24th in Jasper County. Poor is charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with an April traffic accident in downtown Joplin. The accident claimed the lives of a 52-year old Joplin man and his 83-year old mother. Police say poor admitted to driving at a high rate of speed as he entered the intersection at 20th and Main. Today`s court proceeding was delayed due to the lack of a doctor`s evaluation.
