Truck Accident

A tire blowout causes a semi trailer unit to crash into a four state river. The accident happened on the Spring River Bridge near Riverton, Kansas during the noon hour. Cherokee County Sheriff`s deputies say the driver of the truck lost control of his vehicle after a tire blew. It caused the unit to go over the bridge into the river below. The driver was rescued by two men who were fishing in the river. Traffic in the east bound lane of the roadway was rerouted while crews cleared the wreckage. The semi unit was hauling food products for sonic drive in`s. Reported By:Jim Jackson
