After one four state city council fires their city manager, the mayor is working hard to bring the city back together. At the Galena City Council meeting on Monday, some council members voted to fire city manager Jack Murray. City officials say applications for the position have already begun to come in. Mayor Lynn Hardman says because Murray only had six months until retirement; the search for a new city manager began a long time ago. Mayor hardman says City Clerk Debbie Kitch has been asked to fill the city manager`s role until a replacement is found.
