Escapee Captured

Donald Collins escaped from the barry county jail on July fourth.
Collins was captured late yesterday in Newton County. Collins was apparently tipped off just before officers arrived at the site where he had been residing for the past eight days. He left the scene in a red nissan car. A joint search effort was launched that included the Missouri Highway Patrol, the Newton County and Barry County Sheriff`s Departments, and a helicopter.
Collins was taken into custody and is being taken back to the Barry County jail under maximum security.
