Several four state businesses are being sued by the Missouri Attorney General`s office. Attorney General Jay Nixon held a press conference in Joplin Tuesday morning. Nixon says several Missouri businesses, including two in Joplin, are being sued for failing to comply with orders directing them to withhold child support from the paychecks of delinquent parents. Joplin businesses being sued include Bill Goodall of BB&S Construction and Billy McHorney roofing. The lawsuits ask that businesses be required to pay the amount that should have been withheld, along with a 500 dollar fine. More than 30 lawsuits are anticipated to be filed over the next few weeks by the attorney general. Nixon is hoping to recover more than 127 thousand dollars for Missouri children who are owed child support. Reported By: Joni Williams
