Galena Mayor Reactions

Allegations continue to fly in one four state community. The allegations that are tearing the town apart are also causing the Mayor to speak out. Three of Galena`s City Commissioners are under investigation for violating open meeting laws by discussing city business amongst themselves. The Mayor of Galena says she doesn`t care if they talk or go out to dinner together. But she says they should all know better than to discuss city business outside of an open meeting.
Mayor Hardman says this is not something that should be swept under the rug. While the Cherokee County Prosecuting Attorney is currently investigating civil charges. Law enforcement officials say criminal charges could follow for obstruction of justice.
