Bypass Update

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The Highway-71 bypass project could hit a roadblock because of money problems. A meeting will be held to deal with financing issues for the planned US Highway 71 bypass. The 19-mile road would be built around Bella Vista from Pineville to Arkansas. The road is expected to be financed by tolls, but a proposal by the Missouri State Transportation calls for another party to help pay for the project. A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow in Branson between the Arkansas Highway Commissioner and the Missouri Department of Transportation to discuss the issue. Reported By: Robin Rogers
