Blunt Cancer

Updated: January 7, 2009
Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt is diagnosed with the early stage of prostate cancer. Blunt says the problem was found during routine screening. The 53-year-old Republican says the cancer is unrelated to a cancerous tumor that prompted doctors to remove his left kidney last year. Blunt is scheduled to have the prostate removed next month. The Congressman says he`s been extremely lucky to have excellent doctors who encouraged him to get regular check-ups and screenings. As a result, he says both cancers were caught early and appear easily treatable. Reported By: Robin Rogers
