Updated: January 7, 2009
After a long recovery a four-state corner involved in a serious accident is home. Officials say Jasper County Coroner J.D. Love was released from the hospital this weekend and has returned to the county. Love was involved in a single car accident nearly two weeks ago. The rental S.U.V. he and family members were riding in apparently flipped along interstate 70 in Kansas. The accident killed Love`s sister, Ruth Derrick, and injured several others. For now, Chief Deputy Jerry Neil is filling the position until Love can return to his duties. Jasper County officials say Love is expected to return to his post in the next two to three weeks.
