I-44 Changes

A four state roadway will bring some different challenges to local drivers. Construction on the 8 mile stretch of I-44`s eastbound lanes near Joplin is now complete and construction on the westbound lanes is set to begin. Drivers will experience some detour changes. Three of the cloverleaf ramps on the 44/us-71 north interchange will be closed as well as exit 15, also known as the 7th street exit. 7th street`s entrance ramp will be reopened as well as the cloverleaf to enter from eastbound I-44 to northbound 71.
