Crawford County Storm Damage

Updated: January 7, 2009
Just more than three months after tornado`s rip through the four states, another bad storm hits Crawford County, Kansas. Some areas who are recovering from the may tornados were hit again last night. Officials with the Crawford County Sheriff`s Department say rotation was spotted, but according to trained spotters the funnel cloud never touched the ground. One woman says last night`s storm may have destroyed her corn crop."We didn`t see anything along the road, but today you can go out and look and great big places are flattened out just completely flattened so I don`t know how much damage there actually is,but what we can see there`s a lot of damage,"said Dorthy Zimmerman, House Damaged in the Storm. Zimmerman says they do have insurance to cover their corn crop, but she`s not sure how much it will help. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
