Violence erupts at a four state religious festival. An early morning gang fight leaves one man dead and three others injured. The incident happened early this morning at the Marian Days celebration. Police say the incident happened at 5:45 this morning when two rival gangs began fighting near the Vietnamese Martyrs Auditorium. 22-year old Quoc Pham from Wichita, Kansas has died from stab wounds, and three more received injuries in the fight. Those three have since been released from the hospital. Police say the two rival gangs are from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Wichita Kansas. 16 people are being detained at the Jasper County Sheriff`s Department for questioning. Police suspect the murderer maybe one of those men. "These are two groups who were involved in willing combat. This was not strangers not what you would call innocent victims necessarily. At least that would be the early appearance,"said Carthage Police Chief Dennis Veach. Chief Veach says the fight was over fairly quickly. And officers were on the scene immediately since the mobile command center is right by the crime scene. Investigators are currently still on the scene to inspect for forensic evidence.
