Joplin Foot Chase

A man who led police on a late night foot chase is now facing charges.
Antonio Taylor was arrested just before 10 o`clock last night after leading police on a foot pursuit. Taylor was spotted driving a car that matched the description of a vehicle Joplin Police had been looking for. When officers stopped the car near 15th and Kentucky, he fled on foot. After a short chase, Police say Taylor broke into an area home located in the 13-hundred block of Kentucky. A child was in the house at the time, but officers were able to get the child out safely. Police found Taylor hiding under a mattress. that`s when the suspect surrended and was taken into custody. He is being held on a probation violation and faces charges of first degree burglary and possession and distribution of an illegal sustance.
