Code Yellow Blood Alert

A Code Yellow alert is issued in the area for all blood types. Currently there is only a two day supply of blood... and workers at the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks say donors are desparatly needed. The CBCO will be holding blood drives throughout the area. On Friday, August 22nd, a drive will be held in Fairview at the Hammons Community building from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. On Monday, August 18th, a drive will be held in Joplin at Freeman Health System West from 10:00am to 4:00pm. CBCO will also have a donation center set up on Friday, August 22nd in Joplin at The Joplin Globe from 11:00am to 2:00pm. And Neosho will be the site of a blood drive at the Municipal Auditorium from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Monday, August 18th. For more information call the CBCO at 626-8323 or 1-800-401-5143.
