A local teenager is injured after being struck by a car. Miami, Oklahoma Assistant Police Chief Randy Mathia says a 16-year old girl was hit by a car at the intersection of BJ tunnel and Main Street. The accident happened around 10 o`clock last night. Authorities say the teenager was crossing the street, talking on a cell phone when she was hit by a northbound car. The teenage girl was airlifted to a Joplin Hospital with unknown injuries. No tickets have been issued to either the pedestrian or driver. Reported By: Jennifer Haile
