State officials tour land purchased in Southeast Kansas and discuss plans for the future of the site. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks has purchased 32-acres of land adjacent to Schermerhorn Park south of Galena, Kansas. Officials say the acreage they`ve acquired will make an excellent addition to the 35-acres known as the Southeast Kansas Nature Center. Secretary Hayden says so far he`s looking at some wetland and trail development. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
