Murder-Suicide Update

The second victim died overnight in a Joplin apparent murder-suicide and a note may give answers as to why this happened.86-year old William "Bill" Vandiver died at Freeman Hospital overnight. Police say he shot his wife, 80-year old Helen Vandiver and then turned the gun on himself late yesterday afternoon. The shooting happened at the couple`s home at 2204 South Florida in Joplin. Police say Mr. Vandiver called 911 around 4-o`clock yesterday saying he shot his wife and now was going to shoot himself. When police arrived at the home they found the Vandivers lying on the floor both with gunshot wounds to the head. Helen was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say they found a suicide note inside the home and that it centered on health problems. Police say their investigation is now complete. Reported By: Courtney Cullor
