A late night robbery last night sends one person to the hospital while police continue to look for the suspect. Police say the suspect robbed the Sonic Drive-thru near 7th and Murphy Blvd. just after 11 o`clock, then shot an employee with a small caliber handgun. Police say the employee was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the face, but is said to be listed in stable condition. Witnesses say the male suspect, between 5` 10" and 6` 2" tall and weighing 140 to 160 pounds, was wearing a white mask over his head when he entered the restaurant and demanded money. Police say the suspect fled out the back door and headed east of the location on foot. Detectives say in this type of situation where the suspect leaves on foot, it`s routine to call taxi services. "It`s standard procedure just to make sure someone hasn`t called a taxi, have one waiting by. That has happened in the past. although in this case we don`t believe that`s what hapened," said Detective Keith Meyer. The suspect took off with an undetermined amount of money. The investigation is on-going tonight. Reported by: Ryan Loyd
