With cd sales flat, record companies are trying to boost their profits with a price cut. Universal Music Group, the worlds largest cd manufacturer, is lowering its prices.The move is to compete with music being downloaded for free from the internet. With the new price cut, the highest you should have to pay for a cd is 10 to 13 dollars. "I think it`s a really good idea for companies to do that. Your gonna see more customers come into get cds where pricing now is the average cost is $13.99 to $14.99. You`re gonna see customers coming into buy more cd`s,"said Scott Burgess, Best Buy Music.
