Social Security Fraud

A Southeast Kansas woman is indicted for lying on a social security form. 51-year-old Linda McMurry of Pittsburg has been indicted for willfully making a false statement to the Social Security Administration. McMurry signed a form in august of 2000 saying that she had never been convicted of a felony. In fact, she had a previous felony conviction in 1986 in Crawford County. If convicted, McMurry faces up to five years in federal prison without parole. Reported By:Sarah Lonnevik
