Three officers are back on the job today after being exposed to anhydrous ammonia at a methamphetamine bust. Officers with the Cherokee County Sheriff`s Department were hospitalized late Tuesday evening after being exposed to anhydrous ammonia without the proper safety equiptment. Officers involved say if they had known they were going to a meth lab using anhydrous they would have been wearing the protective equiptment.
The Cherokee County Sheriff says there are concerns when entering meth labs. All three officers were hospitalized for approximately 30 hours.
