Changemaker Conference

Area leaders are learning how to help steer children on the right path in life. A "Changemakers conference" is being held in Lamar. The conference brings together community leaders from the educational, medical, and government fields. The goal of the conference is to teach these leaders to empower youth to make smart choices regarding risky behavior. Speakers say they bring a common sense approach to promote strong community based solutions. The conference continues tommorrow at the Lamar United Methodist Church Family Life Center. The center is located at 10th and Poplar street.
