Webb City Council

Updated: January 7, 2009
Controversy continues to brew over the hiring of a new Webb City Administrator. But tonight, there could be answer to the problem. Since the Webb City City Council fired the City Adminstrator nearly three weeks ago, council members have been arguing about the process of hiring someone to fill that position. Mayor Glenn Dolence has appointed a citizens committee to screen applicants for the position, but councilmember tom reeder is opposed to that method. Reeder has been seeking several legal opinions and says there is a conflict of opinion between the state statute and the city ordinance. The council will be discussing the issue at tonight`s work session. Reported By:Courtney Cullor
