John Rogers Pay Debate

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The severance pay for a local City Administrator is the source of additional controversy in Webb City. When City Administrator John Rogers was fired the city offered him a severance pacakge that included six months pay as well as complete benefits. But Rogers says that package just isn`t fair. Rogers told KSN this afternoon he has accrued 90 days of vacation over the past six years which has gone unused. He also says his contract states if he is terminated without cause he must be given 60 days notice. Rogers says the Webb City City Council wants to substitute that five months of pay for the complete benefits in the severance package. But he says the benefits don`t equal the exchage of five months of pay. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
