A Jasper County man is charged with the death of his infant son. 24 year old Gary Pinckney of Carthage has been charged with the murder of his four month old son, Michael Pinckeny. Emergency medical crews were called to the family home in the 300 block of north Maple yesterday morning,medical personell say the baby was not breathing. Following an autopsy of the child, prosecutors decided to file charges against the father. Investigators believe the cause of death may be a result of shaken baby syndrome. The father has been charged with second degree homicide,his bond is set at 100 thousand dollar. Reported By: Jim Jackson
